Oxfam Novib is working in partnership with the Mundri Development and Relief Agency (MRDA) and the New Sudan Women Federation (NSWF).

The Mundri Development and Relief Agency (MRDA) is a non-profit Sudanese organisation founded in 1991 by the local community. It has its headquarters in Mundri County and a liaison office in Nairobi, Kenya. The vision of MRDA is to be a leading, efficient and accountable agency promoting equitable and sustainable development in a peaceful South Sudan. To realise this vision, MRDA's main objectives are: to advocate for and provide improved equitable access to quality education for children and youth; to improve individual, family and community health; to improve food security and livelihoods in the community; to promote gender and youth mainstreaming in policies and programmes; to mobilise financial resources and other forms of support for achieving the above objectives from both local and international charitable institutions and persons. The principal thematic areas of MRDA are: primary healthcare and HIV and AIDS; basic education and skills training; food and livelihood Security; women's empowerment and gender mainstreaming. MRDA works mainly in the three Mundri counties of Western Equatorial State in Southern Sudan. As for education, MRDA focuses on teacher training, construction of classrooms and providing teaching materials. For the primary education parts of this project, MRDA is the implementing partner. MRDA has 15 years of experience with the construction of schools and the training of teachers. Providing teaching materials and promote girls’ enrollment are part of their activities.

The New Sudan Women Federation, found in 1995, is an indigenous non profit Sudanese non-governmental organisation. It functions as an umbrella organisation for 32 South Sudanese women's organisations working for the improvement of women’s social, political, legal and economic status in Southern Sudan. The past ten years their focus has been addressing practical and strategic gender needs and their activities include adult education, sensitization and awareness raising on violence against women, income generating activities for women groups and a legal aid clinic NSWF works in eleven counties in South Sudan.

For the Mundri Education Support Programme, NSWF is the implementing partner for the adult education parts of the programme.
