The development objectives of the South Sudan Health Rapid Results Project is to improve the delivery of high impact primary health care services in Recipient's states of Jonglei and Upper Nile; and to strengthen coordination and monitoring and evaluation capacities of the Ministry of Health (MOH). This project paper gives a grant in the amount of US$ 28 million to the Republic of South Sudan (ROSS) for this project. The grant will help finance the costs associated with rapidly improving the delivery of high-impact primary health care (PHC) services and strengthening the key stewardship and oversight functions of the MOH. The project is being processed under OP 8.0 (rapid response to crises and emergencies). The support will help respond to the situation by: rapidly improving service delivery in Upper Nile and Jonglei states; and strengthening coordination, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) capacities of the MOH.
