Workshop on Financial Reporting on the 5th of June

The first financial reporting workshop organised by the BSF secretariat on the 20th of May at the BSF secretariat was a attended by AMA, CONCERN, HARD, IMC, MEDAIR, OXFAM GB,and WORLD RELIEF, and was considered as very useful.

Therefore the secretariat decided to do a repeat on Friday morning of June 5th, again at the BSF secretariat from 10:00-1230 pm. The workshop will be about BSF's financial reporting.

It will be an opportunity for the grant recipients to clarify procedures. The aim of the BSF secretariat team is to maximize speed and quality of financial reporting and payments. This is in everybody's interest, also particularly in view of the next BSF-evaluation that is now planned in July 2009.

During the workshop we will also discuss the setting up of solid quarterly financial projections of your BSF grant's expected expenses. We need these projections as soon as possible as the fund has now 4 different donors with different financial years and commitments. DFID, as lead donor, can help to maximize the timely use of the fund only if grant recipients provide these financial projections and follow them. More about this during the workshop.
